Where am I: Product information > Tolerability

Tolerability

Uracyst is well tolerated.1,2

21,231 instillations of Uracyst have been administered in Canada.3 No serious adverse events have been reported.3 Uracyst was launched in UK and Europe in the spring of 2009.

This is to be expected as chondroitin sulfate is not systemically absorbed and it does not exert any pharmacologic effect. The catheterisation process may cause short-term discomfort.  Some patients have experienced discomfort associated with sensitivity to catheter lubricants.
